2011: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Hey blog, remember me? You’re so dusty! 

With 2011 coming to a close here’s a quick review of my year

The Good

  • New car (bye, bye Accent! Hello Fusion!)
  • Finally made it out to Chicago
  • Survived another year of grad school
  • My best friend is finally home
  • New laptop, iPhone 4S and other stuff!  
  • Great year at work (while making my name known in Bank of America….. in a good way!) 
  • Good year of gaming
  • Most of the year was financially well off….. for once
  • Ran my first race (finished 2nd in my age group)
  • Good times with friends
  • LeBitch choking again (Dallas Mavaliers!) 

The Bad

  • Death (my dog, Steve Jobs, a few friends, too many to list)
  • Me struggling financially near the end of the year (The Great Depression 5: Electric Boogaloo) 
  • Me becoming more of a homebody (good on certain areas, not so good in the social aspect)
  • Me being too busy to have a social life (missed out on ALOT of good things this year!)
  • No movies seen in theaters this year! (BOOO!)
  • My metabolism is dead…… (Run 2 miles, no results!)

The Ugly

  • Cowboys on Sunday Night Football
  • My dad dozing of in the living room (it’s a sight to see…….. not really)
  • Probably some other ugly things that I seen during the year which I can’t remember at the moment.

So there you have it, my 2011 in a nutshell. Not exciting, but still productive. Out of a scale of 1 thru 10, I give this year a 7.5. To be honest 2012 is shaping up to be an important year; probably the most important year of my life. For 2012, I already have on tap,

  • More money coming my way (refunds, working more hours at work)
  • Traveling more (Chicago and Las Vegas as potential trip locations for 2012)
  • My 10 year High School class reunion
  • Graduating with my MBA….. on my birthday, of course! This will probably shape a lot of things for the rest my life.
