Hillis/Browns Rant
I don’t know what to believe with contract talks, “pulled hamstrings”, sore throats, Hallz, etc. What I do know is that 1) the Browns aren’t playing well and 2) Peyton Hillis ain’t playing. Two weeks ago, it seems like everyone is Cleveland was on Hillis’ side. Now it seems like the side has shifted, like everyone knows how this movie is gonna end. I mean when you see how Hillis didn’t play with a sore throat a few weeks ago, and yesterday where he had a “pulled hamstring”, but ended up blocking in the forth quarter, something is fishy. You can just tell in the city of Cleveland that the tide has changed to, “Go Hillis” to everyone putting on their detective caps and going “hmm…. something is up!”
In my opinion, since it’s obvious that Hillis is NOT in the Browns plans in the future, you might as well trade him for draft picks and get value for him before he’s out the door. Cause at the way this is going, the chance of Hillis resigning with us at the end of this season is pretty slim.
And it’s hard to support the Browns at this point. Shurmur is proving to be a horrible choice for a head coach. Everything that the Browns were good at last year (defense, o-line, discipline) have just been horrible this season. I’m actually wishing we still had Mangini as coach. The way this team is playing, I can’t see them winning more than 3 more games this season; and that’s being optimistic. Bold prediction, the Seahawks are going to blow out the Browns this Sunday.
