I think being a sports fan is bad for your health!
So if you are Tony Romo, how do you close out a game in the fourth quarter and make a statement that the Cowboys are for real this year? A) Control the game clock with safe plays and conservative passing. B) Go for big scores to increase the lead and prevent a comeback. C) Fumble the football while doing too much, throwing the ball to FREAKING DARRELL REVIS when Dez Bryant was obviously not open, and let the ball hit you in the chest on the second to last play of the game and have a goofy grin about it afterwards. If you guessed C, then you have a promising career as Tony Romo. I guess making mistakes like these are excusable if you are a first to second year qb, but this is your NINTH year in the league. Your mistakeproness should be out of your system by now. I mean, it’s one game in a long season, but the clock is ticking on Tony Romo as a legitimate starter for the Dallas Cowboys. Granted, I’m not going to be like 80% of Cowboys fans who wrote off Romo after tonight’s game. But he’s got to stop making mistakes and get smarter when the game is on the line. Or else the Boys aren’t doing much this year, except missing out on stuff playoffs and the Super Bowl.
And is it just me or did the Browns trade in their defense, special teams, offensive line and smart playmaking in exchange for a decent offense? I mean, I’m all for the development of Colt McCoy and scoring points and all, but I’m not for watching the defense completely turn off in the second half and losing games in double digits, again. I could tell that Joe Haden was daydreaming of what he was going to do at Barley House tonight when he let AJ Green score that touchdown against him. Rob Ryan would have never let the Browns’ D get lazy at the end of games. I miss him already!
I guess that means the highlight of my weekend was the Steelers scoring only 7 points and getting destroyed by the Ravens!
